ARL names new sports chief

The new general manager of ARL’s sports and leisure division is Corrie Withers, 35, who took up his position in early January.

ARL’s sports and leisure division includes the 160 strong Sports Power chain and Sportscene group.

Withers’ extensive retailer and supplier experience includes roles in the Harvey Norman head office, the Good Guys head office and a role as buyer with Myer in the electrical area.

The sports and leisure division will hold its annual major buying conference in early March in the Eithad Stadium in Melbourne, with a member and supplier dinner in a Docklands venue.
