RCG, owner of 141-store strong The Athlete's Foot retail chain reports strong sales growth and attributes much of this to the new large format stores, now numbering 14.
The chain recorded total sales growth of 11.4 per cent from $72.6 million to $80.8 million for the half-year, with 8.4 per cent like-for-like sales growth.
TAF opened six new large format stores during the half-year, and converted five existing stores, reports Chairman of RCG, Ivan Hammerschlag.
• Meanwhile, Billabong International has posted a 15 per cent fall in first half net profit, with reported group sales $721 million.
"Within key markets, trading in Australia was slightly ahead of expectation, Europe performed generally in line with forecasts and the US experienced patchy trade," the company reported
